On September 14, 2025, the Cambridge Rocket Club hosted it’s seventh launch and biggest launch of the season. We were greeted with warm temperatures, calm winds and partly cloudy skies, ideal for flying. We had over 40 people show up including 15 CRC members, 6 new members and 6 guests. Welcome to the club our newest members. This was the largest turn-out for the season in both spectators and flyers. Great fun was had by all.
The theme of the launch was BIG rockets and thanks to the membership focusing on large models, they put on a great show. We saw several examples of dual deployment, chute release and altimeters deployed. In total we managed to launch 75 model rockets utilizing 76 A to G model rocket engines. The theoretical total impulse was 2,375 Neutons. I would like to thank those that showed up early as well as those that stayed following the launch to help me set-up and tear down the launch equipment, Greatly appreciated.
